Hope Sports & Recreation Ministry offers Youth Sports in which children ages 4-18 may participate in soccer, flag football, basketball and baseball. Hope Church Memphis welcomes all families from first-time participants, attendees and members to engage in our community sports and strives to provide a safe, fun environment for all to compete together in Christian fellowship. With this in mind, teams are formed according to birth certificate age and gender, and divisions may be either Boys, Girls or Coed based on the number of registrations received. Traditionally, Hope Kindergarten sports are Coed and divided into Under 5 and Under 6 teams. Youth Teams are divided into Boys and Girls teams and participate in ESCRA Sports. Due to physical development issues, and most importantly player safety, Girls may participate if First Grade and older on a Boys team if we do not have a girls team for that specific division. However, Boys cannot play on Girls teams. Again, all of our decisions, as well as team guidelines, have been put in place to ensure a great experience for both players, parents and coaches.
